Aikido Class

The “style” of Aikido taught at Waco Aikido and Self Defense is deeply rooted in Shin-Budo Kai founded by Imaizumi-Sensei who learned directly from the founder of Aikido, O-Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba.  Feel free to research the information found in the links.

There are no contracts or sign-up fees.  You simply pay for the classes you want to take.  If you pay for the full month up front, you pay a lower rate than those who pay for one class at a time.  There are other incentives for paying monthly and for paying on time as well.  Call or email for more details.

Comfortable clothes like shorts, T-shirt, sweats, etc are OK to wear.  Feel free to wear martial arts uniforms, but please wear only white, brown, or black belts as appropriate for your rank in Aikido.  A uniform is not required unless you are testing for rank.

The format for the class is as follows:

Short prayer then bow in (about 1 min)

This class is intended for those who simply want to learn the mechanics of breaking free and getting away. These students are often those who are not interested in studying a martial art.
